The set up
The Galleria Civica g. Segantini is presented with a new layout, complemented by a relevant interactive section, which places the artist’s birthplace at the Centre of a network of research and relationship with the main institutions which preserve works of Giovanni Segantini. The Gallery reopens with a new exhibition housed in the seventeenth-century Palazzo cloths, unearthed in the beauty of the original architecture.
Sawyers and his contemporaries
Around the interactive stations are paintings, sculptures and works on paper about Sawyers and artists from Trentino his contemporaries, works from the collections of the Mart, MAG and the autonomous province of Trento, here joined in an action to promote the great artist born in Arco, but above all in the effort to substantiate a project bringing together all the research potential regarding sources and documents from various archives , around a key word: Segantini.
Next to the documents and images returned thanks to the touch table, the exhibition presents the works of Segantini and paintings, sculptures and works on paper by artists from Trentino and his contemporaries, like Andrea Malfatti, Eugenio Prati, Vittore Grubicy, who was the mentor of Segantini and Meadows.
